So scared for Charlie

Hi all. As you know, I'm supposed to be bringing my staffy pup Charlie home in a few weeks but its not looking good for him. He is one of a litter of 7. 2 were stillborn, and in the last 3 days, 3 of the other have died. The vet thinks the mum had an infection that was passed on to the puppies at birth. There is just charlie and a bitch left. They are now on antibiotics. They are the biggest of the bunch, Charlie by quite a large margin. I hope their size will help them fight it off. I'm absolutely terrified that he's going to die too-i'll be devastated if he does

Hey guys. Just a quick update. Charlie is still fighting fit and healthy. He's been separated from mum now as he's coming home in a week. I think he's out of the woods now where the infection is concerned, now just gotta learn how to manage his weak heart. So happy he's ok, and only 8 days til I finally get him home x

You were completely right Shane, survival of the fittest. Such an awful shame that Charlie was the only one strong enough to survive, but I'm so happy that he did and that I picked him. Thanks Janey, I'm well excited too. I just know that this next week is really gonna drag by! x

Hey guys. Charlie is 6 weeks old today and completely healthy! He made it! Bit gutted cos my dad said he might not be able to bring him down til next wkend now but at least he's ok. I told my dad that if he's hanging onto him for a week, he'd better get here fully house and crate trained!

Oh, no, another week! At least you know he'll be coming, what a great little fighter, you'll have a devil on your hands cause he'll be spoilt rotten!

I think my dad's looking after him. Its good in a way cos he has a staffy, a border collie and another puppy so he'll get to spend the week with other dogs. Its not definite yet, I may still get him this wkend, I'll let you all know. And you can be sure there'll be loads of pics as soon as I get him home, I cant wait to show him off to you lot. You've all been so supportive of him and sent him so many well wishes, photos are the least you deserve!

Aww I'm not sure whos more gutted you or me lol!! I hope it happens this weekend else not Charlies certainly worth waiting for. Great news and what a survivor!

thank you I spoke to my dad and the breeder last night, charlie has been vet checked and given a complete bill of health! He doesnt even have the heart weakness that we thought, he's perfectly healthy I'm a bit gutted cos I'm not getting him home this wkend but I'm so happy that he is healthy and cant wait to get him home now x

Yes hopefully. My dad said he has alot on and it costs quite a bit for him to come down here and back so he's gonna keep Charlie at his this week. He's picking him up tonight! He'll send me some pics so i'll post them on here as soon as I get them. I've got to count down another week! Sigh...

Hey all. I've spoken to my dad this evening, he hasn't been able to get out to charlie's breeder cos he's had so much on with work but he said he's picking him up tomo afternoon and will send me pics straight away. He said if he's got the money and can get a day off this week, he'll bring him down. If not, I'll have to wait til the wkend. I'm getting soooo impatient, I just want my boy home now! Bless my dad though, he's done so much running around and made so much effort for me with this pup. I can be patient for another week if needs be I guess!

What will be will be! He's coming home in, at the most 7 days!!! Not long, and will fly by!

Hey guys. Just spoken to my dad's wife. Charlie is doing really well up there and will be home by 9am on Sunday! I cant wait! I'm soooo looking forward to giving him a big cuddle. I really hope these next few days fly by. Roll on Sunday!!

I'm just sooo excited, can't wait to give him a big cuddle and see for my self that he's happy and healthy. Gonna take a few days off uni to settle him in and i'm only in there 9 hrs a week anyway so he'll only be left alone for a couple of hrs a couple imes a week. The rest of the time will be cuddles and play and training. EXCITED!!!!!!!

Getting there thanks Big, sold a painting last Sat £3000! Seriously I want the money they have! And to the same people have 1 out on approval (they can borrow it 4 a week) for £6000! Its fun though but tiring getting up at 6am 2 walk Moo! But as u said pays the bills!

The cheapest is about £425 and goes up to about £25000+ have an exibition this weekend with the more expensive paintings, an artist called Shen Ming cun, its taken ages to learn names lol! Rather different from pouring pints, but I kinda miss that
