Coughing
When Rosie gets excited or gets out of breath she starts to cough and seems out of breath,I'm wondering if its her age she is 11.5 years old.
My wife thinks she has something stuck in her throat but she has no problem eating and doesn't seem stressed.
Im apprehensive about taking her to the vets as she gets stressed and won't let the vet get near her.

Re: Coughing
Any sudden onset coughing should be reported to the vet as it could be heart related, and at her age it could be a problem. However, most age related heart problems can be dealt with using medication & I'm sure the vet will be able to put your mind at ease.

Re: Coughing
A muzzle is fine! It won't hurt her & it will help the vet make a diagnosis.
In my opinion, all dogs should be trained to accept a muzzle - you never know when one will be needed!

Re: Coughing
Please let us know how you get on.
It may be something really simple, but best to get it checked out!
