Staffy coat length

Hi everybody!
Recently I've been noticing that our 5 month staffy coat is much longer that others and I'm starting to think that he might not be purebred, we bought him with pedigree papers.
Can a staffy have a longer coat? I would say it's about 10 to 15 mm long on the back but short on the legs.

The coat is often longer along the spine & around the neck, but shorter on the belly, legs, head & sides.

To be honest, the photo looks okay.

I’ve just had a look at my girls and their coat is also around 1cm on their backs. Totally agree with gilly and with the photo you’ve posted, your pup definitely looks staffy.
Would you have reason to doubt the authenticity of the papers you received with your boy ?

I just found it strange because all the other staffy's that I've been seeing on the dog park have a really short coat all over and I got a bit concerned that I might have been scammed.

For the last nine years I have had 2 staffies from the same litter, (both kennel club registered with parents seen), with completely different coat lengths. My girl has the shortest coat I've ever seen, (people comment how short it is), and my boy the longest I've ever seen, to the point you could run your hand through it, it was like a mane on his neck, he got wavy beach hair when wet, and people commented on how lovely soft and long it was. I lost him recently, and I miss running my hands through it, which is what led me to this post. Point is they are all different and can have long and very short pile to their coats. I would be interested to see if any exist as plush as my boys as I think he was unusual, and definitely full staffy. Blue in case anyone thinks colour is a factor.
