Re: American staffy coat
Thank you very much hehe his name is Dre and he is 5 and a half months old now, he is such a beautiful dog. I have heard from some people he may be cross Rotty but others are saying he is a tri colour American staffy and that in some staffy genes there js longer hair. Looking up both images I’m not certain it’s not either one. Although his browns are a lot deeper then that of a Rottweiler

Re: American staffy coat
Hi & welcome to the forum.
Is Dre an American Staffordshire Terrier or a Staffordshire Bull Terrier?
If he's a staffordshire bull terrier then there is a gene for a slightly longer coat which surfaces every so often, but his colouring isn't typical staff? I don't think it's typical rottie either, and if he's a stafford then I think there's something else in there along the way!
Absolutely gorgeous, though.

Re: American staffy coat
Hello and welcome from my girls and me.
Dre looks like a lovely AmStaff. TBH I don’t see any rottweiler features in him and I’ve already seen a few tricolored and/or black & tan AmStaffs here so not really surprised by his colouring.
I would say he looks like a dilute black & tan, so that’s blue & fawn I guess but often they’re alot lighter in colour than Dre.

Re: American staffy coat
He’s still a baby so maybe just going through an awkward coat phase
The quality of his coat can also be related to his diet. What are you feeding him ?
Great to hear you both sharing great adventures together !
