Coat to fit short body large neck staffy???

Hi All,

New here and my first post hoping for some coat advice...
We recently took on a 17month old Staffy called Archie, hes doing great at the moment and settling in well, My problem is trying to find a coat that will fit him.

We live near the Brecon Beacon and hope to take him walking among them soon.
I've scoured the internet to no avail!

The problem is that his size seems to cover 3 sizes
He has a short body length at 45cm
His chest seems to be medium at 67cm
And his neck is large at 53cm
Hes 21kg (all muscle not much fat)!

Anyone else in the same boat or can point me in the right dirrection?

Any recommendations much appreciated.

They do a bull breed fit! They're soft, warm & shower proof - although a little pricey compared to some. But excellent quality & usually a really good fit.

I can recommend the equafleece coats as they’re the ones I use. For my very stocky Nifty, they’re the only ones that are easy to put on, stay put, cover well including the belly area. They’re warm but showerproof too as polar fleece.

On the website, take the 4 measurements and they can advise on the size or even make to measure !

Hi from me & Katy, they can be very awkward to buy coats for! Katy is hard to buy for as she's tall, long & has a very deep chest. But I only waste my money, as I show her I'm picking up her coat she legs it under the table

Thanks for the reply's! Ill look into that equafleece although living in Wales im not sure showerproof will be waterproof enough for some of our downpours!

Probably not, but it's pretty close to waterproof - the rain does sort of run off it. 

They're very helpful, though, if you phone them & ask for advice!

Well i got in contact with equafleece gave them the measurements and they have recommended i go for the 22" tankie - bullie size!
Should have it in a few days.

They really are nice! They're also very easy to wash & come up like new.

What colour did you choose ?

As to the waterproof issue. Fleece does not hold water like a sponge so even when soaking, they are not heavy and don’t have that soggy sensation. Fleece has great wicking properties and stays breathable so even when wet on wet animal, the moisture wicks to outside to evaporate and animal stays warm whilst drying off.

I really do rate these coats !

Got the coat (in black) and it fits like a glove!
Well happy, and Archie seems to like it too, so thats a bonus!
