I'd definitely take her to the vet. If it is a structural weakness you need to know what the best thing is for an treatement, physio, etc., but also what to avoid in the way of exercise. And it might be something else, in which case you also need to know.
Fingers crossed she'll get stronger soon.

at 8 weeks old, it may be that she just needs to strengthen. It's called 'knuckling over' and isn't all that rare.
however, I would advise you see a vet (which you'll need to do anyway) to get his opinion. If it's knuckling over then it should straighten as your pup grows.
I take it the pastern isn't like that all tge time?

nine times out of ten it strengthens & straightens on its own, but get the vet to check that it's not damaged in any way.

If it was me, I'd be really careful about letting her up and down stairs just in case she puts more weight than she should - I know it's a different injury, but my boy's got various leg issues and the vet always raises stairs as a thing to avoid.
Good luck and let us know how she goes. Cutie little pumkin that she is.

Re: How do i help my pup with weak pasterns????
to be honest, 8 weeks is too young to be going up & down stairs anyway. If it is just knuckling over then by about 16 weeks the tendons/ligaments should have strengthened enough anyway.

I hope the vet can offer reassurance & your gorgeous pup is fine. We need to be very careful of protecting puppy bones anyway,im careful not to over exercise my 5 month old boy & carry him up & down stairs

Re: How do i help my pup with weak pasterns????
stairs are okay as long as they are taken carefully & the pup isnh't allowed to race up & down them, putting too much stress on shoulders, elbows & hips. pups should always be taught how to use stairs at an early age so that they don't fall down them & hurt themselves.
