Puppy nails
roxy is 12 week old now and her nails are so long !!!! Isit correct that you dont get a puppys nails cut ???? We have started to walk her so this should help file them down ???

Yes, that's right. You should find that she keeps her nails trim just by walking.
What I would do now is handle her paws to get her used to the feeling in case her nails do need clipping later on. To start off with just stroke the tops of her feet, then very briefly (a second) hold on and let go before she has the time to pull away. Repeat that stage until she's not fussed, then hold on for a second more, then build up. If she pulls away, keep hold of her foot gently, going with her movement but not letting go, till she stops pulling then immediately let go. That way, she'll learn that not pulling is good. You should be able to work up to handling all her feet, getting your fingers between her pads (good for checking for thorns and things) and having her nails clipped.
