Hadn't needed to do Tip's nails but our Rottweiler have had to do it done. We got a friend's dog nail clippers and hubby did them. They completely black so they a bit of a nightmare to do and she don't like getting them done either.

I haven't the guts to do mine! The vet did them when they were little but now walkies file them down.

You can do them yourself if your brave enough, you have to be very careful not to get the pink but or it will hurt them and bleed. My dad has done Daisy's before but generally we walk on roads enough to keep them short. If not the vet or a dog groomer will do them for you.

I am lucky with Vin never had to do them but I think I would get someone to do them as it scares me incase it starts to bleed  Big Grin

Luckily for us we have a dog training school very close by with a grooming room, they only charge a nominal fee for this service too (£4.00). I don't to this for fear of hurting Rocky but hubby said he may try it.

Glad you got them sorted at the vets Smile We went to a recommended pet store...she caught nearly every one of his quicks! He was in so much pain it was horrible to watch! I was close to knocking the woman out and snatching him back! She made me so angry!

We do them ourselves now, although he tries to bite and growl at us. I think it kinda traumatized him the first time Sad
