My Doggy Diary by Nita, aged 2 and a half

First topic message reminder :

Yesterday was my first day with my new owner. He came to pick me up from where I was living. I thought I was going for walk but ended up in car sat on a girls knee. The window was down and I loved smelling all the things going past. I was nervous but had the feeling everything would be betterer.

We went to a shop that had a lot of nice smells that I liked, it was a dog shop. I got bought a new bed and bowls and some treats, a collar and a lead.  I did a poo outside to celebrate, heh heh.

We then went to see a nice lady who I think is going to help me with my itching. I itch a lot and my ears are swollen and closed too. It drives my round the twist and I can't stop scratching. Maybe I lose concentration with it. I do not know.

We then went for another drive and went to a house. It is my new home I think. It smell better. I got a new toy and I run round like mad with it. I made a lot of noise banging it into things. Fun. I think I did wrong as I poo'd and wee'd in the house. Maybe I didn't give signal I need to do toilet. Man owner was nearly sick from smell. It was funny to watch but I felt a little sorry. My paws cannot do cleaning so I can't help.

We also went for nice long walk, it was foggy and I kept looking back to make sure new people with me. Mud and wet grass was my favourite and splashing in puddles (not poodles). I think we got lost because of fog.

When we got to new home I had to have a shower. I was smelly dog. It was like it rain in one place but I got man drenched too ha ha ha. Now I smelt betterer.

I had dinner, it was nice. I ate it all and had a lot of water. I think it was chicken. I liked it. Chicken nice. Yum

It been a long day so I needed to sleep. Instead of new bed I sleep in chair. It my chair now as not allowed on fabric island thing. It new. I think I make noise from other end as man owner and friend say it extremely smelly. I carry on ha ha ha. It fun.

I saw man owner yawning, he was tired. He went to bed. I followed ha ha. I not stay on floor, bed nicer. I make sure I take up all bed and man owner sleep on edge. I am a lady so it right thing to do.

Today I wake after man owner wake. Ahhh nice sleep. We have another walk to shop and I see girl who said hello to me last time, she friendly. Small adult come and ask for stroke. He nice but I must not jump on him as it is scary.

We do training too as I not good at it. Now I can sit, stay and come. I get treats when doing right. I think it good to do right as man owner happy and we play. Now I sit by window typing this but have to stop as paws itchy like itchy thing. I type again soon

Dad and me went to camping with friends, we did walk to pub. Well, that was what Dad's friend said we do but we did take long route and climb mountain. Dad thought short walk but it 6 hour walk. Me enjoy it as with two other dogs but it very tiring.

Helvellyn, only the 3rd highest mountain in England. From couch potato to climbing that, no wonder we were both knackered but Nita, bless her, kept plowing on.

They do just keep on going don't they, Flo was just like Nita after a few days on Dartmoor

What a little sweetie

Nita and me are celebrating a year since she walked through the door into her new home. It has been a heck of a ride and a reduced bank balance but worth every penny.
Not only that but Nita has helped me get through a really crappy year anbd has kept me going on those yukky days.

So, here are some photos of her on her first day, dirty, skinny, few bare patches, mange, ear infections and the rest to how she is now.

We would also like to thank you guys for the help and tips and advice you have given us too. Its been great, heres to many more years with my best friend.

I suspect that if Nita could speak she would thank you for giving her a loving furever home Ains.

She looks fab and I bet she's quiet a character too

Thats ok, we havent been on for a while. I couldn't type at the point of putting the picture on as the keyboard was on the floor and Nita and I were snuggled up on the sofa (yes i managed to get on it)

Today I did walk on grass and have fun.



and now I do this. Dad say something wrong with picture but me think it right.

Hahaha - loving it. Humans do tend to attack dogs like that, especially licky Staffs.

Well, another milestone met. After a year of gentle coercing and the occasional wander into muddy puddles, Nita has finally taken the plunge, literally and now has got over her fear of water deeper than her paws. I was so pleased for her and nearly wept.

Today it my birthday and I did been out all the morning Dad did take me to fields and then went to park to see my Auntie Judy and Auntie Linda and all the doggies and then to shop for treats. I got doggy icecream and doggy beer and new toy and..........oh what was sound.........oh nothing....and treats and lady at shop did give me little bag of treats for birthday as Dad told her it was my birthday, which it is, my birthday, did you knows this?
This is me with Auntie, I did have bad dream and woke up and was the frightened but Auntie make better and gave the cuddles.

Today I did get excited to go to the park to meet doggy friends again. Dad has man flu so he nice to take me as he say it terrible thing for man to get and he feel like the poop.

Just watched your last two vids Ains... She has really found her voice but looks so excited to be going to the park

She loves the park as she gets to meet up with her doggy pals and run about with them. As soon as I take the turn towards the park that's it, she is chirping away.
