Took nels new leather harness off when I got home and found this on her chest anyone have any ideas

im no expert but it looks like it could be harness rash, it should heal fine if this is the case. maybe ask your vet about a recommended ointment to help it heal and prevent infection. is it a leather harness? maybe try a softer harness or see if you can get padding for the harness you have

It looks like it has had time to heal/been there a while. If it was fresh from the harness when you took it of it wouldn't have scabbed already.

Have you noticed her scratching more lately? Maybe the harness is making her itch that spot? Has she worn leather before? With this heat aswell I'm sure it gets very hot having a leather harness and may be heat rash irritating her/making her itchy.

Coconut oil is good for soothing itches or Sudocrem.
