ok,im trying not to panic
husband just came home from work a min ago and sasha did her i'm so pleased to see you thing and rolled on to her back so he could stroke her belly, next thing my hubby's face dropped and he said omg she has a lump.its on the inside of leg near her bottom teats.it's about the size of a pea,one min it feels squiggy and then it feels hard, you can actually see it.if it was some sort of bite how long would you expect it to be before it went down or went away?we went up the fields as normal earlier so could be a bite, really trying to be positive.

Re: ok,im trying not to panic
Have you tried to give her an antihistamine tablet to reduce the swelling ??
We give Rocky half on a tablet (which is the Tesco own brand antihistamine) and it works great for him when he has allergic reactions. It should go down in a couple of hours if it's a bite.

Re: ok,im trying not to panic
I'd say it's most likely a bite/sting. Leave it for 48 hours, maybe give her a piriton & see how it goes.

Aww I'm sure everything is fine and it is just a reaction to something in the field. Try an antihistamine as suggested and keep an eye on her. Let us know how she goes ><

Re: ok,im trying not to panic
It could be a sting/bite mark or it could just be a fatty lump. I've noticed on your info under your avatar your girl is now 8 years old, if thats correct then shes hit the age of little wart like lumps and bumps appearing.
Have you felt it to see if its just raised skin that looks like a lump from a distance, or is a true lump that though the skin you can get hold of.
Maybe a trip to the vets will put your mind at rest as they could do a needle-biophys and see if any fluid is drawn out.

Re: ok,im trying not to panic
It really could just be a fatty little cyst or something like that. Of course if you're really worried may as well try one of the allergy possibility remedies above and if it sticks around have it looked at.
