Puppy weight
Hey folks!
Another newbie here.
I got my puppy when he was 7 weeks old and my best friend got his sister. He was staying with them until I got my house sorted so they were getting fed the exact same at the exact same time of day every day.
When we took them to get their first jabs and micro chipped they were 9 weeks and 3 days old; they both weighed at 4.5kg. We took them back exactly two weeks later when they were 11 weeks and 3 days, Taffy (the sister) weighed 5.7kg but my boy, Vinnie, shot up to 6.1kg!!
Is 6.1kg a normal weight for a 12 week old puppy?!

Re: Puppy weight
As long as they are healthy and eating/eliminating normally, I wouldn’t worry. They all grow at different paces. Welcome!

Re: Puppy weight
They all grow at diff weights I wouldn't be concerned, as long as they are happy & healthy My boy was 6kg at 3 mths & is nearly 12kg now at 5 months.

Re: Puppy weight
Weight sounds ok.
Nothing is consistent or "normal" in the first year. All growth rates seem to be different. 1 week you think "too skinny, is it a Staff?" next week " too fat, is it a Bulldog?", then "too tall, is it a great dane?". It all balances in the end. Be patient.

Re: Puppy weight
I give that advice from experience to everyone on this site, then when I have Barney weighed I come here and ask "is his weight OK?" Human insecurities lol

Toot's weighed about the same as Taffy at that age. Her brother is much heavier. So don't worry
