other dog breeds and staffies in the same home
Hi
does anyone have theories on what other dog breeds, (small to medium size preferred) are known to be especially suited to living happily alongside staffies?
we will be living back in Uk soon, and will have a staff (probably female), as soon as we can...were gutted that UK law prevents us from bringing back one of the many beautiful abandoned am staffs / pittbulls that roam the streets around our favela neighborhoods here in rio, but we have rescued a long haired balinese/cross cats...he's super affectionate and fearless, likes to make friends with all people, other cats and dogs, hes also cross eyed but we like him that way...its just we think our staff might get more fun out of a more robust playmate, and our cat might actually appreciate that too)...we would consider another staff but worry that 'double trouble" though twice the fun, might be too much for us. we will be living in the countryside so an active dog who likes to run/swim etc is just fine.
thanks.

From personal experience, sibes, mastiffs, bull terriers and most staffy crosses are fine and share the same play ethos. There are lots of each in rescue waiting for a forever home.

Why don't you get your staff then when the time is right pop along to a rescue and get whatever dog fits into your life and gets along.
