Was worried today
Well we went to the motocross today and always take Vinnie as my Brothers dog Skye is always there. They usually have lots of play and fun. Today was the same but Vinnie became very anxious and his breathing was fast and he was sounding like he was going to have an asthma attack. I was so worried that I put him in the car and came home. I really thought he was going to keel over. On the plus side he had loads of great comments and at one point was surrounded by loads of people saying what a gorgeous dog he was. He is ok now but exhausted! Any ideas?

Re: Was worried today
Can you see any insects bites on him that him may have reacted too, which could explain the faster breathing rate ??

I don't know Janey the only other thing was Skye had previously been playing with another beagle who was about to come into season whether she had some scent from that and Vinnie could smell I don't know.

Re: Was worried today
Have had a look Kathy and cant see anything though he did briefly let out a bit of a squeal whilst there so maybe he had been bitten as it was very long grass. It was also very dusty in the air from the bikes racing round.Kathy wrote:Can you see any insects bites on him that him may have reacted too, which could explain the faster breathing rate ??

Does he seem OK in himself now, I really don't want to worry you but have a read of the article below, just something else to be aware of this time of year:

Re: Was worried today
He is fine now but will be extra alert from now on after reading that. I have gone over him thoroughly and cant see anything untoward . Thanks Kathy:)

Re: Was worried today
That's great, I'm sure he would have been showing signs by now, it sounds like there is quite an obvious lump that appears if it's an adder bite but it never hurts to be on top of things.
