Re: Forts on Cesar Millan
I can't stand him or his training methods. Outdated, cruel & discredited.
There have been several threads about Milan on here over the past couple of years. Just type Cesar Milan in the search box & you'll see what I mean!

Re: Forts on Cesar Millan
I can not support a man who uses choke chains, kicking, violence, aggression and torment to FORCE a dog to do what it is told. I am not the master of a dog, i am its companion. Ive never used any of the methods ceaser uses and i have a perfect dog.

There are (or were) many videos on youtube showing him hitting/kicking/pinning dogs. He uses the pack leadership theory which has been totally discredited.
If you want to train your dog, always use positive reinforcement methods.

Just keep going with the clicker/reward training & you'll be fine. Don't try & follow the Cesar Milan method or the 'Pack Leadership' method.

Re: Forts on Cesar Millan
Yep positive reimforsement all the way, I use marker training which is the same as clicker training but I use the word 'yes' instead of a clicker. Keep going as you are

Re: Forts on Cesar Millan
Cesar Millians techniques are outdated and cruel at times! He forces dogs into submission! His techniques cause fear and anxiety! Positive reinforcement all the way! Works just as well! Sounds like what you are doing is working so stick with that!
