Poorly dog? Empty Poorly dog?

Post by Sashdog Mon Jan 21 2013, 13:27

Ok so had ozzie about a week now i think, maybe more. And im unsure about his health. He had regularly been to the vets before as it shows in his book. But no notes or anything so presumed he was healthy.

But here he keeps being sick. After a walk he'll have a drink then throw up about 3 times.
Today with no walk he's thrown up twice.
We havent been for a proper walk since it started snowing and sash isnok rest in her crate due to injury, so i know its not too much activity or hyperness.
But again he had a drink then threw up :s
Ive also noticed it looks like his eyes have been watering alot and hes got marks where they have been dont know if its related

Could this be serious?

We hve him booked in at the vets next week so will have him sorted and know but just curious now.

Why wait until next week if you are worried I would get him down there today or tomorrow , it is not normal to be throwing up all the time Smile

If I were you I'd pop down sooner for piece of mind. Your vets might have an open clinic were you can just go down. Logan at a stage was bad for eating things that would make him sick. I've had to take him in a few times and they have given him something to settle his stomach but it was never serious.

Always worth being safe than sorry though.

How much time do you leave between walks and feeding ?

Has he picked up something he shouldn't have while out, poo or anything different ?

If you can get in to see the vet any sooner please do so to get him checked over for your peace of mind if nothing else.

What are you using to walk? A check chain or collar or harness? I ask because if he was walked in a harness before then you are using a check chain, he might be sore and vomiting to try and get rid of the pain.

He has a harness and a halti head collar.
He has a walk about an hour to 2 hours before his feed.

I will call them now thanks!

Wonder if it could be some sort of reflux ? As he's just a pup ?

Defo a trip to the vets to get him looked at x
