not sure about medication, but when we moved 120 miles away, we had regular stops and didn't feed that morning, marley was fed in his crate whilst we moved every thing in and seemed fine

Have you tried the DAP spray? See link below:

http://www.medicines4pets.co.uk/shop/dap-spray-60.html

It has a calming effect on dogs. We use it on Rocky blankets in his bed and he gets to sleep better with it.

Depends whether it is actually motion sickness or stress. I used Bach Rescue Remedy for Harry and it worked wonders.

thanks, I'll look in to those, could maybe try the spray on the bedding in the boot. When we travel both dogs are in the boot, we have a dog guard, they both either lay down or sit and look out the back window, scooby doesn't get hyper or cry or anything like that he just dribbles and drooles so I'm assuming its the motion, he's only ever been sick once when he was in the car for about an hour. We don't go far normally but we do like to take the dogs on days out.

I wish I had some advice. Saxon used to have that issue when he was a pup. We tried various remedies, not sure they did much. We just didn't feed him night before or morning of if we were going to drive a long ways. He eventually just grew out of it and now he's fine.

We tried ginger biscuits today and there was a huge improvement! He still dribbled a bit but he was in the car an hour, where as before he the back would wet through after 10 mins. We went to the beach fossil hunting with the kids, we all had a great day, wish I could let the dogs off but they too nosey!
