Is there any post in particular as i'll take a look.
I know sometimes it can be difficult when typing to get a point across the way you want it to.

Re: plea
forum and facebook or anything not everyone is agree with evertything & some people just dont do the basic research when buying a dog and after read the same comment time after time it does get on peoeple nervous and some people do go over the top at times.
if you see a comment abit over the top report and a mod will edit it or remove it.

Hey, I hate it when someone feels left out.
If at any time you're not happy with something, please tell us. I mean, if we don't agree with you we can always say so! And if you're right, then we can do something about it. But not if you don't tell us.

Re: plea
I think i'm to blame for the critisism you mention willowthewisp.
It was nothing personal but when you said you can not control your dog and yet you have only attempted one tool and not even for very long, then you started another post for more advice when you didn't even take the advice from the first topic asking for advice.
I might of been harsh but it was the truth, you have try to get control of your dog by using anything humanly possible but you didn't even try so i said, if someone can not control their dog, they should not have one, so you got to try harder and persevere. I wouldn't want anything bad to happen to your Chester but its going to if you don't try a little harder.

Re: plea
With big dogs it will be hard to control with american buldog it very unlikey a halti will work, what you need to do learn his body language.
http://staffy-bull-terrier.co.uk/dogbodylanguage.html
if there sign of getting mad u dont carry walking that way near a dog
, person you walk a different way or make him sit till the thing as gone pass

Re: plea
I have an american bulldog and i will say forget the water spray, as the breed do not respond well to negative training, use positive reinforcement, and i would suggest walk him on a head collar, i use the dogmatic and it's worked wonders on Chance.

Re: plea
This made me sad, I don't like to think that people are feeling belittled, patronised or judged. Miss Rogue, ypu can give advice without being quite so judgemental, especially to a new member who is here for some help. You could have said what you needed to say without adding that if she can't control the dog, she shouldn't have it.
Willow, if you can't find your topics, usually they have been moved to a more relevant section of the forum. I'm sorry, that's probably me because I do move things if I feel they are in the wrong section.
Anyway, if you have any issues with member's posts, or finding you own or anything, just create a new topic entitled FAO mods so one of us are sure to see it and sort it. Or use the contact link at the bottom of the forum. I hope you find the forum a little more welcoming and helpful from now on.

I did not judge i did not be little all i said was if anyone can not control their dog whether it be a american bulldog or a tiny poodle they shouldn't have a dog and thats the truth, why should i sugar coat it? if you can not handle a dog then you should have a dog, if you can not handle a cat then you shouldn't have a cat its plan and simple, its was nothing person its not just my opinion..... it is fact.

Re: plea
There is a difference between not being able to handle your dog and not knowing HOW to handle your dog. Miss Rouge i think you are blurring these two together.
The poster has asked for help on how to handle her dog so that she will be able to handle her dog.
Noone is born being able to handle dogs, people learn too.

There's a big difference between sugar coating (or not) and being plain rude, and I'm sorry but your post came across as abrupt and rude. I doubt that you meant it to, but please be a bit more careful & a little more sympathetic and helpful with your comments. Thank you.

Re: plea
Agreed with all above , sometimes posts come along as originating from nutters or in worst case the fishers for trouble ( baiters). So sorry that your post has been picked up on and misinterpreted. We are all here to enjoy the good times and give you a big cuddle over the bad times and somewhere in the middle help out as much as we can. Please lets start again .
