Advice needed
Right, Leo is now just over a year old and he is getting some real 'manly urges'! We took him for a walk on Sunday with my friends and their springer spaniel (a 4 year old male) and Leo kept trying to mount him! Obviously this was not appreciated by the other dog and he kept snapping at Leo. Luckily neither of them actually properly went for each other.
Would this stop if i had him neutered? we wont be breeding him so what would you all advise?
Another question as well. He keeps eating grass, and i mean ALL the time, on every walk he eats loads of grass, but he's never sick. is this normal?

Re: Advice needed
Mounting, espically anthor male is a sign of dominance. Neutering may or may not decrease the behaviour.
Dogs can not digest grass so you should try to discourage it as much as possible. A water gun is usefull on walks. It also helps when they try to eat other things that they shouldn't

i can honestly say tat castration probably won't stop him. my wife had castrated jack russel and he'd try to hump anything. dog's eating grass is quite normal, we wouldn't need a lawn mower if marley had his way lol
