Sickness & diarrhea in puppy
Hi,
We have a gorgeous 6 month old pup named Ted. Since yesterday he has had diarrhea. Woke up this morning to find he'd had an accident in his bed, bless him. At 8am I fed him his JWB kibble but mixed in some pasta to try and calm his diarrhea (which he wolfed down as usual!) although, he was sick twice half an hour later.
On Monday I gave him a frozen bannana for the 1st time and I'm wondering if this is what has caused his sickness and diarrehea as there have been no other changes to his diet. He does have quite a sensitive tummy.
Just wondering if he needs a trip to the vets or if there is there anything I can do 1st. Is it wise to starve him for so long to give his tummy a rest?
Thanks alot in advance

aw poor wee man. keep an eye on him today and if its still there ring the vet. its best to get a check just in case. starving him for 24 hours might help too get rid of anything in his tummy without adding more might let him get that final clear out. make sure he drinks plenty. ><

I would starve for 24 hours and then introduce something bland like boiled chicken and rice, you should see an improvment after that.
Hope he is feeling better soon. Hiya and welcome to the forum from me and Moo

Thanks alot He's never been sick before so it was worrying to see.
I'll try starving him and from now on will stick to the frozen carrots rather than bannana

Hi & welcome to the forum.
Poor Ted, I hope he's feeling better soon!
As the others have said, starving for 24 hours will give his tum a rest, and then some bland food (little & often) will help him get back to normal. If he's still bad after that, then a trip to the vet might be in order.
