looks like an allergic reaction ????

Morning everyone, just looking for some advise. One of my staffies has come out in lumps and bumps all over his legs, sides and chest, some of the look red and blotchy. I've rang the vet which diverted me to the PDSA but they want £120 to see him, of which I can not afford. He seems ok in himself, drinking normal and eating ok. Could it be the snow as he has been running around in it. He just looks awful and I cant stop itching myself looking at him !!!!!!!! Can I give him an antihistamine to help settle it down. I have also posted this message on to the staffie health page too as any advise would be greatfully received as I'm a little worried about him.

You can give him Piriton, but I wouldn't chance any of the other antihistamines as I don't know hoe they differ. Give him one piriton now & another this evening & see what difference it makes.

if he get worse you may have to take him to PDSA, you should always save money for these type of things just £2/£3 a week helps in an jam jar

I normally do save for things that may happen but due to unforseen circumstances my svaings have been used to pay the mortgage, thanks for your advice
