Allergic Reaction
Lola has come out in hives and it scratching like mad...
What to I do?! Call the vet/take her to the vet??
I can only think of one thing she's had today that she's never had before.

can you try giving her a half of piriton pill (or other med with chlorphenamine) ?

Took her to the vet and she got given a steriod injection.
A rawhide bone with a red bit in it.
She had the injection and she is stil itching like mad xxx

It's only antihistamine. If she's still bad in the morning, give the vets a ring and ask if it's ok.
Antihistamine will often clear up an allergic reaction very quickly.

If you're concerned about the reaction with the injection, then no. I don't know what was in the jab she had, and it may have had some antihistamine included.
Wait & see how she is in the morning & then if necessary phone the vet & ask if a piriton would clash with the steroid.

They are cheap and work quickly, the vets aren't really bothered about the dog's long-term health. Its about quick results! Plus if the dog comes back to them qith something else they make more money!
