Re: got a new pup info plsss
Hi and welcome from me and Tinkerbell.
We are having issues with recall of our 16 month old, as we only rehomed her a few weeks ago. The only thing I can suggest is to go back to complete basics with her, back on a training lead/long line and work at the recall until you are confident she will come back each time, then work up to letting her off the lead again.
The important thing to remember though is no matter how many times it takes for you to call her back to you. When she eventually does you must praise her, so she associates coming back with positive not negative.
With a long line on her, you are able to call her back, if she is hesitant give a little tug on the line so she comes towards you. But it will take time and it sounds like you certainly do need to go back to basics to ensure she knows the proper mean of recall for her safety! Good luck!

Make yourself much more exciting than whatever shes doing! Your dog will want to come to you and play with you if your the most fun thing in the park. First call her name once in a silly high pitched voice, if she doesn't come then make some more silly wind-uppy noises and outstretch your arms, bending down and bringing them back to your chest. If this still doesnt encourage her to come you can run and make noise at the same time, most puppies wont be able to resist this!
Toys or treats are also useful, if your pup thinks something fun or nice is going to happen every time they come back they wont want to leave your side! And lots of praise every time they come back. Something I do to reinforce my recall is to randomly call them back a few times during the walk and dont ask them to do anything/put them back on lead just give them a pat or a treat and encourage them to run off again. This way they dont think that they will be put on the lead every time u call them back
