hello,
i have a puppy staff he is about 5 months old , when i take him out for walks and let him off the lead after he has been running about for a bit he starts crying but then as sson as he comes to me he stops then starts running back of crying ?
has anyone got any ideas why he dose it ?

Whats his body language like? does he look like he is in pain etc? Staffs make all sorts of weird noise when excited and it might not be the crying in pain that you make it sound like, if that makes sense it might just be one of his own noises of excitment.

It could be that he's tired & wants to go home, or he might even want you to play with him!
It's a little difficult to say, without actually seeing it. I don't suppose you can get it on video?

he only dose it now and again but when he did it today it was about 5 mins in to the walk , i run about with him and tr to throw a ball / toy but he dosnt bring them back he just runs over snifs it and runs off but when the ball is in my hand he will play with it
