Bald patch Empty Bald patch

Romeo has a bald patch, just above the crook of his armpit, about the size of a ten pence piece and another smaller one slightly lower down from it the size of a five pence piece. There is no irritation under the skin but the hair doesn't seem to be growing back. Its been like this for about three weeks. Is it a scar? He did get attacked a few weeks ago but i didn't see any injuries on him at the time. Hes a very gentle, handsome boy and hes starting to look like a bait dog with all these scars. Sad

Could be scars, but I doubt it - you'd have seen some trauma before now.

It could just be a reaction to an insect bite or grass sap, possibly demodex. If it isn't sore or itchy, I wouldn't worry unless it gets bigger or you get more patches.

Could it be from a harness that is rubbing the fur off?

He hasn't worn his harness for at least three months as its a bit heavy for warmer weather. :s
Its very strange. Will the fur grow back eventually? Is there anything i could do to encourage it?
