bald patch :(

Me and the OH noticed the other day that scarlett about 6 times in 2 hours was chewing at her leg (about 3 inches up form her paw) and its all bald, she keeps making it bleed and its all red and sore, anyone know what it could be? i know its not her food as she been fine with it and she doesnt have a skin allergy as i took her to the vets about a month ago for check up, she doesnt have fleas and she seems t be fine apart from this one spot

She could have something stuck in the area like a grass seed or something else that is causing it to hurt or itch.

had a look jstaff she has nothing at all even got a magnifying glass out for splinters =/

It could be stuck inside of the skin. My last dog had this and the OH wanted to take her to the vet. I insisted there was nothing wrong but it turned out that a grass seed was stuck under the skin.

It could also just be an itch and like a person with a scab she just keeps picking at it. Some cream with an ace bandage around the area so she can't get at it will help the area heal.

oo i got a bandage in the cupboard and i got some cream form the vets after she got chipped (she scabbed pretty bad!) ill try it

Hope it works. Be carefull not to tie the bandage too tight
