Bald patch
I'm looking for some advice. I have an 18 month old bitch and a 6 month old boy pup. The problem is with the pup, he has a very large bald patch in front of his left ear. The skin isn't broken or inflammed and he lets me touch it so is not sore, it just looks more silly than anything. Is this common or is there something wrong???

Re: Bald patch
Could you tell us a bit more about your boy? What do you feed him on, what colour is he, has the patch been there long & does it seem to be getting bigger?

Re: Bald patch
Thanks for your replys. I am all new to this. My 18month old bitch is a brindel and my 6 month old is black/brindel and white. His mum was brindel and his dad was blue/black. We feed them on webbox dry food and some times as a treat we put dog gravy on it. It havs took us a long time to get the bitch to find something she likes, we tried everything and yhis is the onlynthing she enjoys. Im due to get there kennel cough done, so i will ask the vet then

Re: Bald patch
Some dogs with the blue gene can have skin problems/sensitivities.
By all means mention it to the vet as it's possible it could be Demodex & that can be treated quite easily most of the time.
I would get him on a better quality food, one that has little or no wheat content. Webbox isn't a great food, although not as bad as some like Bakers. You might need to get him on to a hyperallergenic food such as James Wellbeloved.
