Duke is booked into the vets tomorow hes not going to be happy

Whats up Gem, have missed something? Whats wrong with Duke?

Hes okay, a wart has appeared on his ear checked him over and he has another on his side. I think his immune is down a little and so hes due a check up and advice.
Im woried about the canine papiloma virus but its usually clusters and in the mouth so hopefully he doesnt have it just want to make sure hes okay. Didnt even know my vets were open on a sunday im impressed Ill let you know how he goes

Thats why it shocked me, there are know vets open on Sunday near me. Hope all is well tomorrow.

Not heard of canine papiloma virus (should I?) Let us know how you get on, and for dims like me, what is it?

Usually young or old dogs get it and its contagious, usually due to the imune system being poor (thats my worry) some get it really bad loads of them and mostly inside the mouth making it painful for the dog to eat .
Dukes mouth is clear just want to nip it in the bud .
Many kids get them on there hands when they are maturing I remember this girl at my school she had loads they were nasty felt so sorry for her.
He hates the vet with avengence im dreading it I have to pin him down hes such a wuss

Our vets is also open on sunday! Hope Duke goes alright at the vets! xx

Just got back from the vets good and bad news she doesnt think he has canine papiloma virus as they are too aggresive and there would be many she doesnt really know what without doing a biopsy. And may as well remove than do a biopsy whilst its small but just for now if it doesnt grow bigger I have to moniter it and decide if I want surgery.
She said if he was having surgery would I consider neutering him whilst under definatly not.
She gave him a check up and said he was a power house and said his teeth, heart and everything else was excellant she couldnt beleive he was 9 and said if she had to age him she would have said 3-4.
In the waitng room a young lad had a boxer and asked me what was duke crossed with certinely knew how to burst my bubble

Fingers crossed it doesn't need anything else!

I love duke hes a lovely dog on that avatar photo of him he looks like that staffy on forum header is it him

I want a staffy that looks like duke.Im going to rescue one .when i lose my old boy hopefully not for lots of years yet.But my other half as agreed that we can have another staff in time.I dont realy want a young puppy again.I want to give a mistreated adult one a good home.

No I think steve said he was from belgium not sure though they do have a look of each other.

Duke is the most "Staffy" looking Staffy I've every seen!!! Guessing the lad has an undiagnosed eye problem!!!! Hoping Duke doing ok now.
