First topic message reminder :

I bought Billy for my girlfriend birthday and he was advertised as a stocky staff. He was 12 weeks old and the people we bought him off just kind of handed him over and took the cash and that was it. I have phoned them to ask what Billy is crossed with but he has just said he is an irish staff. I have emailed him for photos of the father but he never replyed. Luckly Billy is a lovely dog, he looks lovely and he is my 3 year old sons bestest friend in the world. What ever Billy is and maybe some of you on here might be able to give me a clue, he is a lovely looking dog.

Yes shane thats exactly what i was saying. There is no such 'breed' as an irish staff as the 'breed' is just a stafford. The closest thing u could get to an 'irish staff' is ur katie lol a staff that was born in the country itself!!! haha The whole irish staff thing is just farsical lol
i know blaze its a big farce Laughing

Last week Billy was in the garden, must of only been there about 10 mins when he came back in. I noticed his eye was swollan and ended up looking like there was a golf ball stuck to his eye. I decided to take him the the vets and by the time I had his lead on he started getting these lumps all over his face, his nose and neck and they were getting bigger. I rushed him to the vets and it was very lucky I took him because Billy had been fighting with bees. He got stung quite a lot and it was quite bad. The vet asked me if I wanted him to stay there over night but I said no. He had a steroid injection and wasnt alowed out for two days. We had him weighed whilst we were there and he was 23 Kg. The bumps went down once we got home but he was feeling sorry for his self for a bit. Have any of you had trouble with your dogs and bees?

Antihistamiwes For Dog
Chlorpheniraminw 4mg "piriton" --- > 1 or 2 upto 3 times a daily
Acrivastine "Piritize" --- > 1 or 2 upto 3 times a daily
Cetrizinc "Benadryl" ---> one daily

you decide which one you want to give your dog all 3 will make your dog tired & they will want water so make sure they got plenty of water next to them the vet said. DONT MIX THESE TABLE UP TOGETHER...
