My six month old staffie really pongs!
My pup really has bad body odour can anyone recommend anything to shift it or do you think she will outgrow it?
I feed her on Pedigree puppy food and dry biscuits.

Re: My six month old staffie really pongs!
Thanks for all of your suggestions, I have bathed her numerous times but if anything she smells worse afterwards lol. I will try changing her food ( although I have never heard of James Well beloved ) I will google it to find out more and where I can purchase. Thanks everyone

Hello! Has she seen a vet? May be a yeast infection, or even mange. Over bathing will not help, and only make her feel uncomfortable. I would get her to the vet for skin scrapes. Also, agree that pedigree is the lowest of standards of ingredients. Wainwrights is a good option (you can buy from pets @ home) or James well beloved.

Welcome from me and mia i would change the food too, bathing your dog too often will make the dog lose their vital coat oils if you are at all overly concerned get the dog checked at the vet

Good news. If you change food do it slowly over a 5-7 day period or the gas may get worse

It's not gas she suffers from, it's her body odour lol

Re: My six month old staffie really pongs!
Okay, though it's not normal for a pup to smell like that. Try the gradual food change, but if not I'd get a second opinion from another vet.
