16 week old aggressive-help
Hi i'm new to the forum and after any advice you can give, i have a 16 week old bitch who i have regularly socialised with other dogs, but today on the beach she approached another stb puppy the same age, to start with they both had a good sniff and then tried climbing on each other, then other, a dog growled at roxi who then jumped on him snarling and baring teeth, i grabbed her she had his skin , she let go .i apologised and told her off,put her back on her lead, but i am concerned about this behaviour, we met another 5 dogs after this and she was fine.HELP

Welcome from us and Suki. It could be she just got startled by a noise or there was an overly aggressive or dominating move made by the other dog and she simply reacted. If she is fine with other dogs it probally isn't an issue. Not all dogs will get along. It's always a good idea to supervise them and to learn what their body language is trying to communicate.

Hiya and welcome. I will openly admit that I am very lucky with Moo, she gets along with all dogs, bar 2! She has never had a fight with the them, but when they walk past the house, even with the windows and door close her shackles are up and she'll growl. Once when we where outside they came past, on lead, her off, and she went for them, I was mortified.
Suppose I'm just saying that they don't get on with all, even if they are very sociable Xx
Hope you enjoy the forum btw

There is a saying a stafford may not start a fight but they finish it , as your girl matures you will get to know how she reacts around other dogs there are many on here who will tell you there dogs are funny with some but good with others and some are good with all dogs and some are dog aggresive. You need to be aware of her likes and dislikes as she matures and some are like this

Re: 16 week old aggressive-help
as has been said they play with most but some just dont get on and its recognising the ones they dont get on with or seeing the behaviour start and putting them back on the lead. Woody gets on with most but there are acouple he just doesnt like so when they are around he is on the lead and we are trying to introduce them more slowly. one he hated, for good reason as it always wanted to mount him, but me and his owner are slowly introducing them off the lead and they are getting better

Re: 16 week old aggressive-help
Hi and welcome.
My 12 year old staffy Jethro loves everybody and everything, but one day someone went past with a girl staffy. I said to them it's okay he is good with other dogs..but he did not like this dog and really growled nastily at her!! Luckily they were both on leads. How embarrassing!
So I guess there are some dogs that aren't too keen on each other!
