Bach Rescue Remedy Empty Bach Rescue Remedy

Post by Lizzie Fri Jul 29 2011, 12:12

Has anyone any experience of Bach Rescue Remedy please? Harry doesn't like the car very much and gets a bit stressed. For various reasons I wasn't able to get him used to the car as a puppy. I'm currently trying small journeys and taking him somewhere nice with a walk at the end of it but when I get him out of the car for the walk he just sort of goes through the motions and doesn't enjoy himself at all. He isn't car sick just anxious. Have seen Bach Rescue Remedy suggested (4 drops on a treat).

Any alternative suggestions most welcome.

I haven't ever tried that with my dogs, Polly has a blanket that we wrapped her in to bring her home from the rescue centre, and since then it has always been in her bed, I always put it in the car as a comfort and she settles nicely on that. When we first got her she was car sick, so I used to take her for little rides a couple of times a day, even just down the road and back and she got a huge fuss and treats when we got out, now she will go and sit by the door of the car and ask to go for a ride Bach Rescue Remedy 249152 She was sick the other day but it was very hot and we didn't realise that she had "helped" one of our other dogs to eat his breakfast as well as her own Bach Rescue Remedy 42712
My sister never feeds her dog if she is taking her out in the car but I have found that my dogs get sick in the car if they have empty stomachs and it is just yellow bile they bring up then Bach Rescue Remedy 42712
I hope Harry gets passed this issue soon for you.

I have always been wary of giving alcohol to dogs so have never used it.

Copied from the Bach website.

How are the Bach Flower Remedies made?

<blockquote>
Preparing the Bach Original Flower Remedies is a three step process as detailed below;

</blockquote>
Step 1

Mother tinctures are prepared from plant material and natural spring
water using either the Sun or Boiling Method as defined by Dr Bach.

Step 2

The mother tincture is made up of the energised spring water [Step
one] mixed with an equal quantity of 40% brandy. The brandy acts purely
as a preservative for the remedy.

Step 3

<blockquote>
To make the stock bottle, the mother tincture is added to 30ml of 27% brandy.

Sorry, should have said that they do a pet one, although a lot of people do use the normal one which contains alcohol.
