Rescue Dog
Hi,
I recently got a rescue dog who definately has staffie in her. She is about four years old and at the moment very underweight. She has a white face with faint black marks on and a black body with a white tip on the end of her tail. She has white paws and a white belly. Is there any way I can tell she is a full staffie?
She is very freindly despite being poorly treated by her previous owner - she was found almost starving and in a very bad way. I am not sure she has had much house training either as she usually goes to the loo at night. She seems good with other dogs and is generally very eager to please.
Previously I have owned Labradors and Retrievers - are there any staffie attributes I should look out for?
She has settled in very quickly and particularly loves my son which makes me think she was perhaps owned by a man.
Thanks.

Re: Rescue Dog
Hi and welcome to the forum from Rocky and me.
A photo will help with identification. Staffy's tend to adore children and love cuddles. They can be a bit stubborn at times.
As for training you may want to start with basics and go from there.
Have a good look around you will find loads of advice on here and don't be afraid of the search facility where you will often find the answer to a particular question.
Good luck and have fun.

Not too sure how they managed that but great. Wouldn't work here in England, even DNA testing doesn't give a true result. Without having papers and a ped you'll never no for sure if she is full staff or a cross.
As I said, it doesn't matter anyway, giving a dog a home is all that matters
