We went to watch a puppy training session that Maxi will be joining up to in Sept it was really good Anyway off to the vets

Re: Jabs :)
Violet got her last jabs recently too, and our vet said just over a week, but I guess that would all depend on what vaccinations your puppy is getting - I remember hearing that there are different brands of vaccines.

Re: Jabs :)
Aw, sweet!
I'd get her used to the lead as soon as poss, just let her drag it around & when she's used to that, pick it up & follow wherever she wants to go. Then, when she's used to that, you can give her a gentle tug with lots of praise to get her to change direction.

Re: Jabs :)
Awww time has flew! lol .. my vet says up to 7days before they can go out
what i did to get my two used to the lead was walk them around the house and backgarden with it on so that when it comes to walk day its not too much of a shock to have something hanging of her neck lol.

Re: Jabs :)
just practice putting it on and taking it off mate and then walk him round the house on it. woody hated it at first and kept trying to get it off but soon got used to it

Re: Jabs :)
I used a really light lead at first with jett (it was actually the cats lead lol) and just walked him round the garden for a week until he got used to it. when it came to the time he was allowed out he was walking perfectly on the lead.
about 2-3 weeks later i got him used to a light chain lead which he still uses now. (due a new one because he's nibbled through the handle)
Hope everything with maxi is ok

Re: Jabs :)
Let him just drag it aroound the house and every so often pick it up and follow him. After awile if he's used to it a gentle tug to change directions. Don't expect to get to far on the first walk he will get really distracted with everything. Bring along some treats or a squeaky toy to get his attention and enjoy.
