Staff Behaviour
Hello everyone iv got a blue staff, he's just turned one years old he's fully trained very attentive and obeys instructions the last couple of days iv noticed a change in his behaviour usually he is very lively and always come when called with excitment but the last couple of days he has gone very quiet when calling him but still shows excitment when a outside member enters the house, and still is very playful with toys and walks but this overall household behaviour is not the usual rio as he is very energetic dog this change has come since i took him to my friends house whos also got a 10month staff they got along and played for a long time but since returning home seem's quite and also was at his house for the past week as he was look aftered while i went away on holiday, he was fine energetic played for hours with the other staff but now iv brought him back home with the family he seems very quiet...isit because he misses the other dog? im pretty confused....? his loss of anxiety is only with the house members who always show him love and affection at all times.

Re: Staff Behaviour
It could be he is just gaining confidence and feels a bit independant. When we first got Suki she would follow me everywhere and always want attebtio. Now she gets excited when I first get home but 10 minutes later she will go lie on her bed.
As long as there is no change in appertite or other indicator that he is ill I wouldn't worry.

Re: Staff Behaviour
i am sure everything will sort it self out, he is probally just adusting back after being away for a week.
we are going away for 3 weeks soon and someone is looking after billy, i expect some change when we get him back as everything is out of routine.

Re: Staff Behaviour
The person who looked after him while you were away what was their training method? how did they correct him if needed, is their dog just as quiet as yours has become?
You could try having the other dog over or around and see if he does miss him etc
