To make the photo competition fairer you will only be allowed to vote when you have posted 15 plus times and I have checked your credibilty.

In the competition, I would like to propose a rule that no one votes for their own dog - only for someone else's. I realise that there may be no software that will monitor or enforce this, but I think most people will abide by the rule as the competition is just a nice bit of fun. I would like this rule to be included with all the rest of the rules (size of picture, name of dog etc) at the beginning of the contest. Thanks for considering.

Sorry - should have tacked this onto previous. I would also like to propose that the age restriction be taken off the adult dog competitions. Why be restricted to dogs younger than 7?

I realise that Crufts calls  a >7 dog a 'veteran' but I dont think there's any reason for this to influence and I would open up the adult competitions to all.

My reason for proposing: there are many truly stunning older dogs in the rescue shelters. They may be bewildered at how they have ended up where they are, but will be totally deserving of good new homes. I think it would be nice if the competitions could tacitly acknowledge the beauty of these older dogs and welcome photos of them along with all the others for the monthly vote. By acknowledging that older dogs can be stunners too, the chances of older dogs finding new homes may even slightly improve. It can do no harm; it might do some good. Thanks for considering.
