Warning System Type Harnesses Empty Warning System Type Harnesses

Just a heads up for anyone who uses this type of warning harness in particular the one that states your dog may be nervous.

If you have your dog insured have you notified them if you use the warning system type harness?

I was recently advised to do this (to contact the insurers) by a rescue centre employee if we decided to get one for Rocky. Apparently there have been some insurance cases in America that have gone south due to the dog owners not informing their dogs insurance company about the dog wearing this type of harness. What happens in America is usually followed here pretty soon.

You are affectively warning other dog owners that your dog may not be friendly towards other dogs/nervous of other dogs which could be an issue with the insurance company.

It may affect your policy if they are unaware of the harness and something should happen to another dog. I know it is unlikely but may be worth initially asking them about the harnesses and if it would affect the policy should you decide to get one for your dog.

Please don't panic.

Interesting... Sounds like another way for the insurance companies to refuse payouts. Wonder if my Flo's vest would have any bearing Straight Face

I questioned this initially, and is the reason why I still don't have an "I need space" vest for Bug. I've been sent a piece of legal advice from yellow dog regarding this, and it seems legit but I'm still not going to take the risk.
