traffic light system for all breeds
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iQArcv68HhE
As a dog owner of a loving Staffordshire bull terrier, I often experience prejudice and ignorance towards the breed which results in children being pulled away by parents, people crossing the road to avoid my dog and other dog owners panicking with their own animals.
Whilst I appreciate there have been instances reported in the media concerning certain breeds of dog, I feel you should judge the individual dog and not the breed.
In light of this, as a responsible dog owner, I have created a line of dog collars and leads, not for fashion purposes, but with the hope to educate other walkers/dog owners and to create a more friendly and welcoming experience for all.
The basis of this line is that I have devised three collars/leads for three types of dogs -dogs which are friendly and dogs which should be approached with more caution. These have been created after much research with dog owners and non dog owners, thus far I have received very positive results.
I am looking for your support in raising awareness with dangerous dogs and thus stop negative issues being featured in the press.
I am confident that this could assist with preventing the number of dog bites/attacks and reduce unprompted fights between dogs whilst on a walk.

Hi, Sue & welcome to the forum.
Just had a look at the youtube vid & the collars & leads look good. I take it they're strong enough for a staff (or in my case an EBT)?
The only problem I think you'd have is that other people (certainly at first) wouldn't bother looking at them! I couldn't use the collar on Dempsey cause he has this really sneaky way of flicking his head & the collar comes off! Maybe you could do a half-check or a harness?

Re: traffic light system for all breeds
I agree there Caryll..
Great idea but 90% of Staff owners and EBT use a harness or some sort..
standard collar doesnt seem to hold them well enough
But if the idea spread and vets took on your system I would think people would just learn the colours like the traffic lights lol
become second nature.... but who would want to put the red lead on even if they were dangerous.... ??

Re: traffic light system for all breeds
I thinks its a pretty good system i found your shop on ebay a few weeks ago but the collars and leads didn't look thats sturdy perhaps i'm wrong what is the material? Wlecome to the forum btw.
of course if they aren't that strong you could have the normal dogs collar on as well, if you make any coats let me know i'd definately buy them.
I think it's a good way to let people know especially for my Cassie and Blondy because cassie to starting to jump up again because she never gets the chance to meet people often enough, With me there are about a 12 people and owners i bump into daily and over time they could learn which dog is which, the collar could be decorative like a bandanna
