Blue Staff Shakes??
Does anyone know why or if your dog does the same?
My dog is 3 quarters Blue Staff and 1 quarter Blue Bull Mastiff. she is 2 years old and still shakes when i tell her 'wanna go out'?!...
If she see's her lead, hear's her chain/collar, if i put my trainers on she starts to shake.
She's fine when she's in the park, but once she has done her 'business' she wants to go home. she's happy when she's playing with other dogs though.
Its getting her out the house in the first place.
I started taking her out when she was over 3 months old and mixing her with other dogs, which she is great with.
She just hates going out full stop, she wont play with a ball in the park or outside, but to play at home and in the garden she is more than happy to do. she's like a different dog outside. In doors she's loving, playful, confident and cheeky. Outside she is nervous, timid, shy and quite.
If anyone has any suggestions, comments, help please feel free i would much appreciate it.
cheers

Re: Blue Staff Shakes??
god by the sounds of it i've done something wrong with my girl?...
Although part of me just thinks she's a 'innie'... like she just loves being at home, loves her bed, loves my bed, loves her garden... and loves playing all day long at home... as soon as the lead or words 'wanna go out' are said she starts to shake.
Although if we go in the car she's more than happy to skip the walk and get in the car and go somewhere.
Maybe mines just lazy?..LOL

Re: Blue Staff Shakes??
i think it sounds to me that she has just got no confidence out side and it is something that you will have to work on has anything ever scared her when she was younger or is there anything you can think of that has made her like this maybe there is a trigger for her behavier

Do you know anyone with a dog who will come round to you so the dogs can get to know each other? Then, maybe you could take them both out together?

Marley is not keen to put his harness on wen we say walkies.he'll shyly and slowly come to put his harness and collar on but I think he jus don't like the idea of anything going over his head.but once on and he See's me grab the carrier bag to clean up.he's at d door like jack flash. He loves walking and given d choice would walk me down from 11st to 6 in a few days.lool.he is scared of mopeds though. Think he associates the back fires with the sound of fireworks. But he's getting better as I reward him with a fuss wen ones near and he don't get petrified. Experience is the key.reassuring you'd dog during.g the getting ready to go out process and show its fun going out and soon you'll have a raring to go staffy!!!.
