Re: Any tips please
Hi from me & Katy At 11 months old I wouldn't say he's being nasty, staffies play rough & often bite each other including the neck. If the other dog has a collar on it makes an easy target.
Would love to see pics of him & if you can video him playing with other dogs we would get a better idea of what he's doing

Re: Any tips please
Hi & welcome.
For a short while I would only let him play on a loose lead & try to develop a good, strong "Leave!".
You're right to be concerned because he could get his jaw stuck in the collar which could cause panic & very bad situation!

Any tips
Thank you for your reply I will try and upload photos, he’s not aggressive at all and its only now and then but it doesn’t look nice and I don’t want him or the breed to get any bad press. Most of the time other dog walkers aren’t bothered by it but we are. Everyone who knows Jim absolutely loves him.

Re: Any tips please
It isn't a matter of aggression, it's safety. Any dog can react badly if they can't get away from something, and that could also cause a reaction from the other dog. I have heard of a dog's jaw having to be cut out of another dog's collar - something obviously you don't want!
But if you can get a good "leave" with him, he'll probably, after a while, stop doing it completely & play nice!

Re: Any tips please
Staffies are very vocal & love to play rough & tumble. Non staffie people think they are fighting for real. If people heard Katy playing with her Dad they would think he's being attacked!
