Different coloured leads Empty Different coloured leads

Is this a thing?
I've recently been told that since my black staffie has a red harness and lead, that other people see the colour as being a warning to stay back.
I got red 'cos it looks great against her coat, but we have noticed a few instances when people in the distance see us and abruptly change direction.
Our girl is small for the breed, and many people think she's a puppy (she's 3) but could the colour of her lead explain why some people avoid us, or is it just 'cos she's a staffie? Surprised

Colour coding is quite popular nowadays, and more people are starting to recognise it...

Green Friendly
Amber Reactive/nervous
Red No dogs/possible aggression

So yes, it could influence people!

When I first got my boy, he was avoided like the plague. I invested in a green 'Friendly' harness and what a difference it made! I could let him off without the panic of people freaking out if he approached them. Colour coded leads are really popular nowadays and red would be considered a 'no go zone' so id definitely recommend purchasing one.

However...

We now use Julius K9 harnesses, one in red and one in black. You learn to deal with those with 'staffy issues' Rolling Eyes
