Katy has been getting bitten recently by mozzies around her neck but doesn't seem to bother her too much. Bothers me more as I don't like her having lumps or scabs on her neck! But over the weekend her leg has been bothering her, chewing when she can get away with it! On her knee she has had a red patch which she will gnaw on if I don't catch her. I put savlon on it when she's sleepy so she doesn't lick it off, she's also on antihistamine every day. Can you suggest anything else I can put on it as I don't like using savlon where she can get to it as it's not good for her!

Re: Ideas
I have exact same probs with Vin atm give him piriton and sudacrem but have been using something called "stinky stuff" drops for his ears and the paste for rubbing in and also can be put in food as a supplement seems to be easing it xx

Re: Ideas
Poor baby, looks sore. I use natural paw paw ointment as it’s not so bad for them if they lick it. I have used it on Archie’s paws as they sometimes bleed after walks. Not so much anymore. My kids use the same for when their lips get really dry and cracked. It works.
Hope it gets better soon

Re: Ideas
I'd bathe with salty water, and if it doesn't clear within a couple of days, take her to the vet. You can't be too careful with Alabama Rot around!

Re: Ideas
Update, Katy's leg has healed up nicely She now has a very itchy bit around the side of her mouth which she kicks the hell out of at 3 in the morning making it raw!
Inez you suggested Stinky Stuff, I looked in Katy's cupboard tonight & found when I ordered the ear stuff I bought the ointment as well I forget what I buy half the time! So lets see how it works as I've just done the 1st treatment.

So do I as not getting much sleep with the scratching then the licking of the paw that does the scratching The ear stuff works well so we'll see how the ointment does!
