Dangerous dogs act
I know our beloved staffies aren’t listed on the dangerous dogs act (UK) but I’m looking to partake in a sponsored dog walk and the rules are any dangerous breeds are to be muzzled.. am I within my right to argue that hank is not part of the dangerous breed act of some uneducated idiot challenges me about hank?

Re: Dangerous dogs act
Staffords are not part of the act so if any idiot tries to say anything I'd very calmly say Hank is a Staffordshire bull terrier and they are not on the act then carry on walking.
I'm sure no one would say anything, the amount of fun runs misty and I do and we see so many Staffs on them so I'm sure there will be a lot on your walk.
So tell us more about the event...

Re: Dangerous dogs act
Oh good! There are quite a lot in our area so I was hoping there wouldn’t be any but as always you know there are going to be some fuddy duddies that think he is dangerous even though he’s the calmest daftest dog going
Well.. it’s a sponsored 2 mile walk for a local charity called cash for kids and they basically support all the poor families in our county, at Christmas they put big bins in all the Work places and shops etc for people to put toys in for them.

Re: Dangerous dogs act
What a nice event for a worthy cause
WRT dangerous dog thing, I have a copy of the law which clearly states that the SBT is not concerned, and I have a copy of Nifty’s pedigree papers with the document with her breed.
Then again, Hank will probably be mistaken for a panther and they’re definitely not listed

Re: Dangerous dogs act
That sounds like a lovely event!! I'm sure you will have so much fun. It's such a good cause and I'm sure you will have so much fun!
You'll probably find that everyone is out for the charity and are just happy to be raising money that no one will be concerned with a breed of dog. They will just be happy you are there supporting the cause.
Can't wait to hear how it goes!
