Poops everywhere
I had just finished the telling my friend how Rebel has never toileted in the house, even when he had lose stools. Literally straight after we see a squashed poop in hall. My youngest had stood in it & made poo smears thru the house. I realised I must have an odd sense of humour as I could barely clean it for laughing lol.

Re: Poops everywhere
It was so funny. I'd never of believed a tiny poo could be spread so far by a small foot. Rebel really is doing amazing tho at going in the garden

He's far too little to be housetrained. But we have been lucky about being in the garden at the right time

Re: Poops everywhere
We kept a log of how often we would take Gus out to toilet. We would be out in the garden every 5 minutes at times. We live in an upside down house so you can imagine how much fun that was. We would take Gus out anytime after he had played, slept or ate. It was like living on a knife edge but it does get easier in the end.

Re: Poops everywhere
Above all, don't get stressed, Steph. If you become anxious about her when she's weeing or pooing, it can create a feeling of anxiety for her which can lead to problems like her not wanting to do anything when you're there. Keep it as much fun as possible and when she's done a poo, especially outside, call her away for a game so that going away from her poo is more fun than eating it.
It's early days, there will be times that it feels like you'll never get there, but you will.

Re: Poops everywhere
Rebel doesn't like to poo outside if he is cold. Putting his wee coat on means he is cosy enough to go. Don't worry they are so young. Logging when she goes will help as you can wait outside when it's her usual times

Re: Poops everywhere
About peeing after doing one outside. I remember when Saxon was a puppy I'd start saying good boy etc as soon as he started peeing. Then I realised he was cutting the pee short to get his treat so would need one a few mins later. With Rebel I don't distract him till the end, then start the praise & treat. Then we stay in garden for a bit. Sometimes he will do 2 pees, specially after a long sleep
