Meals per day
What does everyone think is a good age to put pups on 3 meals a day. I'm trying to remember when I put Saxon from 4 to 3, I think he was between 14-16 weeks.

Re: Meals per day
generally speaking it's 4 meals from 8 weeks old until 12 weeks, then three meals until 6 months then down to two meals a day. if you want you can then reduce to one meal a day at 12 months old, al;though many people nowadays stick to two meals a day for life.

Re: Meals per day
Yes,what gilly has said is correct, but what I have found in the past is the dog will usually let you know, and will start messing around with one at a certain time of the day. Then you start giving the same daily amount in one less meal.

Thank you Kit. You are right, Rebel started to not be interested in his late morning meal

Yes Laura that is the one they always seem to drop.By what you are saying and the pics of young Rebel you seem to be doing everything as it should be.
