How Many Meals
Would be good for Bruno as he will be starting to go out for walks tomorrow, not far i know :lol
At the moment he's having 4 meals a day with a 4 hour break between each meal.
Janey said perhaps now because he will be getting exercise that i cut down on his meals. Which i agree with
But Do Feed him breakfast , lunch and dinner or cut down to 2 meals a day bearing in mind he's only 12 weeks old.
Any Advice would be grateful
At moment he's missed his mid morning meal which i would have fed at 11.20 then again 3.20 then again 7.20 .

Re: How Many Meals
we gave billy, breakfast, lunch and dinner, the only way I would advise is just make sure he is not getting too fat or too thin and adjust his food accordingly. but i am sure someone with more experience will be along soon and give you all the info you need

Re: How Many Meals
Thank you Lynne
I just gave him 4 handfuls but that was too much, maybe i'll stick to 2 or 2 and a half handfuls in future
I'll feed again about 6

Re: How Many Meals
Maybe cut it to 3 then 2. Some people only feed once a day, but I prefer 2. About 7am then 3pm and I walk her after feeds (leaving it over an hour!)
I bet you can't wait till tomorrow

My Roxy is 14 wks and she has 3 meals a day.
I'm no expert and this could be wrong, but she is happy and healthy

Re: How Many Meals
At 3 or 4 months you can cut down to 3 meals a day - a lot of dogs will do this on their own by refusing a meal or not finishing some of their meals.
You could start to reduce one of the feeds now, and gradually tail it off altogether. Remember, though, to gradually increase the other meals so that she doesn't lose out!

Thanks Caryll, I'm going to get Lola weighed next week, see if I am feeding her the right amount then will start giving her more in the morning and night and less at dinner time.

Re: How Many Meals
Bruno is 3 months ( 12 weeks and 2 days)
Hes been fed 2 meals so far and not looking for any food and I'll feed him again at 6pm.
So I think i will stick to that and of course put more in his bowl to make up for the meal that i cut and see how he goes from there
Thank you everyone for your support
