2 or 3 meals a day?

Tia has 3 meals a day at the moment shes 19 weeks when do they go on to two meals a day

she only need 2 meals a day

So 2 a day now

so if that's correct Bruno only need 2 a day really as he's 21 weeks ?

He's always looking for more food after each meal and i give more than the guideline say, as they are for JWB @ 5months = 225 grams a day.

I can check my papers later - I think my breeder said 4 meals until 3-4 months and then 2 meals from around 5-6 months.

harvey has just gone down to 2 meals a day last week and has been fine on it

So perhaps Bruno should be alright as he's 20 days older than Harvey

Pups from 8 weeks should be on 4 meals a day. I would normally reduce that to three at about 3 or 4 months and then down to 2 at about 5 or 6 months. I then keep them on 2 meals a day for life.

exactly i would say he will be fine

Roxy has been on 2 meals a day for a few weeks now.....I have basically just followwed her cue if ya' know what I mean.

Anne (Bruno311210) If you are feeding the amount of food stated on the packet and Bruno still seems a bit hungry maybe increase it a little. I personally don't think you need to stick hard and fast to it......they are basically GUIDELINES. Obviously you don't want to over-feed and make your dog overweight and unhealthy but all dogs are different and he MAY need a little more. Just my own opinion

I usually give him 2 handfuls per meal, today now i am cutting him down to 2 meals a day, i gave him 4 handfuls which might be too much, so i am going to try 3 handfuls this evening
