Dog acting depressed
Hi guys. Bit of a strange one here. Bella has been acting out of sorts recently I had first put it down to coming out of season
But I am noticing it's a bit more than that. she is great on her walks. Has no problems playing but when she's not interacted she seems so down
And moping around the place. In the house she dosnt know where to sit or what to do. And I've also noticed she seems to get scared when I make a tut noise. I do this a lot as there is young kids in the house but it seems to really affect her. And help would be much appreciated.

Re: Dog acting depressed
Restlessness could be an indication of discomfort, have you noticed her licking any part of her body more than usual?
It could also be a touch of separation anxiety but I guess you need to rule things out by elimination

No there doesn't seem to be any extra licking or seem to be in any discomfort. She usually has someone at home with her might get left alone for an hour or two during the day. Even this evening she doesn't want to sit with the family just wants to be in n her own.

Re: Dog acting depressed
Ok there could be another reason, my girl sometimes just wants to be on her own, it's not being sad just wanting some space could Bella be doing that or has she been doing this for a while?

It's just very unlike her up until last week she was ok would sit with us now she just wants to be alone. She seems to get scared or uneasy anytime I tut it definitely bothers her.

Re: Dog acting depressed
Hmmm, if you can't put your finger on what's behind it maybe a visit to the vets to put your mind at rest?

Ya I think it's the best option because I'm starting to get uneasy now seeing her like this

Re: Dog acting depressed
I'm with Ian, a trip to the vet is a good idea. Hope you find what it is and it can be quickly fixed.
