Depressed Puppy

Last Wednesday our Westie JR x died he had been Polly's best friend since we adopted her last year, our older dog Skye is also pining for his old friend although he is still eating and wants to go out for walks, Polly has hardly eaten and all she does is sit in her crate or on the sofa for most of the day
If I try to play with her she will half heartedly tug or chase but then goes back to being so sad.
These little dogs are really such sensitive little souls.
We have seen that our local RSPCA rescue has got a litter of 8 week old staffie pups, Tomorrow Polly is getting a new baby brother to love, we are hoping that he will help heal and cheer her up as well as being another much loved member of our extended family.

Very sorry for you loss. Dogs can take deaths very hard just as we all do.

Ohhhhhhhhhhh! Just been educatingh the OH on Rainbow Bridge and now you come along with another weepie......I don't think I can handle this any more .
Polly looks like a real heartbreaker to start with
Hope you have the best of luck tomorrow and well done on you for going to the rescue. You are going to have some cuddles at Rainbow Bridge one day. Hope Polly picks up wit a new friend, be sure to keep us updated and most of all .......we need pics. Apparently if you get a new addition and dont post pics within 1 week then Steve sends out a hunting party

For every down there is an up , for every loss there is a gain. Dave has the most beatiful face and the same name as me

So sorry for your loss thats so sad.
But congratulations on rehoming Dave he looks like a little cutie to match his new big sister am sure they will get on like a house on fire.

So sorry to hear of your sad loss and that is a gap you can never fill, but I'm sure Dave will help with the healing process and help bring your little out of themselves again.
