Biting!!
After advice please. Normally Bella does quite well with not biting. If she does I tell her no and change her attention to a toy. Despite this if she takes a notion on occasions she will it stop and will grab any part of u and try to shake the life out of it!! When she bites like this it's normally near impossible to release her teeth! This seems to be the only problem we have with her but want to nip it in the bud now

Re: Biting!!
Read that earlier so have started to do it. At the minute she's not paying much attention to it. As I say normally once I change her attention to a toy she's fine but when she takes the notion it's like she's trying to rip your finger or whatever off lol. Just Want to sort this so it doesn't get any worse

Re: Biting!!
When any of our pups would do that we would say a loud OUCH! Usually it worked and if they would continue we would just end what ever we would do and walk away.
When we play or give a treat we say "nice" so they learned not use their teeth so hard. It's a good thing to start early and they are like babies who like to pull your hair as hard as they can lol

Re: Biting!!
I would also be teaching 'leave it', which means 'open your mouth and drop whatever is in it so you can get a treat'. It's straightforwards to teach - you set her up with a toy or something then thrust a treat under he nose while asking 'leave it'. She should leave the toy to get the treat. Do that a few times and she'll understand what's happening. You can then start asking 'leave it' before producing the treat, so she can start to learn that the command will be followed by the treat, and she will then start to anticipate by dropping the toy. From there, you can quickly get to the point that you say 'leave it' and they drop anything, even if there is no visible treat. That anything should include your finger!

Re: Biting!!
Rocco has phases throughout the day where he's in a bitey mood. When he's like this I try to keep my fingers away from his mouth and I give him something else to bite. He's good a lot of the time and seems to be learning that it hurts but he still forgets sometimes in a moment of excitement
